Betsey Ann Minzey Bernhard

Betsey Ann Minzey Bernhard, age 79, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011 in Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of the late Robert Henry Bernhard of New Orleans, LA. Loving mother of Michael Minzey and wife Nicole Minzey and Anthony Minzey. Stepmother of Robert W. Bernhard of Kerrville, TX and Elise Mae Bernhard LaBorde and husband Charles LaBorde of Kenner, LA. Grandmother of Robert Bush, Corey Minzey, Megan Minzey and Madeline Minzey. Great-grandmother of Rylee Minzey. Sister of Judy Minzey Lainson and her husband Richard Lainson of Arizona and Glenn Minzey of Texas. Daughter of the late Glenn and Fleda Minzey of Marquette, MI.

Betsey was a lifelong resident of the Greater New Orleans area and had retired from many years of service at Touro Hospital, Hotel Dieu Hospital and University Hospital where she worked in the accounting department. She was an Avon sales rep for 20 years and made the President’s Club for the past 15 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until funeral time. Interment to follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
