Betty Ann Jeansonne, of Metairie, LA, died Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Harahan, LA. She was born in Plauchéville, LA on December 2, 1931, the second of the seven children of the late Fulton and Eura Laborde Jeansonne. She moved to New Orleans with her family when her father began working at the Higgins Shipyard during World War II. She was a graduate of Sophie Wright High School and worked her entire career as an executive secretary in New Orleans. She is predeceased by her parents, her sister, Lois Jeansonne Morgan Dupuy, her brother Anthony Paul Jeansonne, and her friend Rhea Guidroz. She is survived by three brothers: Weltz “Jimmy” Jeansonne (Joan Doyle, the late Virginia Haberkorn) of Denton, TX, Clyde Joseph “Jerry” Jeansonne (Sandra Joiner) of Chattanooga, TN., and Richard Fulton Jeansonne (George May) of New Orleans, LA, and one sister, Jacqulyn Jeannsonne Komoto (Hiram Komoto) of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Rodney J. “Jay” Dupuy of Metairie, LA and by numerous nieces and nephews. Betty will be remembered as a caring, giving, and much loved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. The family would like to thank Lois Mitchell and India Stirgus of One-Touch Sitter Services for their loving care of Betty in the final months of her life. Graveside Services will be held at All Saints Mausoleum in New Orleans on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 11 AM.
