Bret Anthony Baltz

Bret Anthony Baltz, 56, passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2026 at his home in Venetian Isles. Bret was born on April 1, 1970 in New Orleans, Louisiana to his loving parents, the late John Frederick “Jack” Baltz and Mary “Lydia” Fabacher Gallo.

Bret is survived by his daughter, Brooke Baltz Copeland (David); his lifelong partner and mother to his only daughter, Tiffany Richard; his brother John Jacob Baltz (Natalie) and his sister Iris “Lainey” Baltz Margavio (Todd); his step sister Shannon Eustis (Ryan); his nieces and nephews, Jacob and Jenna Baltz; Zachary, Andrew, and Laken Margavio; Kenneth and Kimberly Kline.

Bret grew up in Metairie, Louisiana and attended St. Ann School. He then went on to attend Louisiana Vo Tech and found his life long passion of welding. He was a devoted father whose greatest joy was his daughter, whom he loved deeply and adored beyond measure, cherishing every moment they shared. He had a love for the outdoors, and when he retired from welding, he found true happiness in commercial fishing. He loved to go crabbing, working on his boats, and sitting on his back porch looking at the sunset on the water every night.

Visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA 70006, US, on April 28, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA 70006, US, on April 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
