Camille J. “C.J.” Marroy passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday February 10, 2011 at 8:41 p.m. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Tromatore Marroy. Loving father of Michael Marroy and David Marroy (and wife, Tina). Devoted grandfather of Justin and Logan Marroy. Brother of Nora Mae Theriot, Mary Lee Chappell (and husband, Charles), Bessie Giroir, Therese Hue, Mildred Rivere (and husband, Ernest ) and Kenneth Marroy. Brother-in-law of Vada Tromatore and the late O’Neil Theriot, Herbert Giroir, Paul Hue, Lorraine Marroy and Manuel Tromatore. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved cat Toby. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Marroy and Emily LeBlanc Marroy, sisters, Beatrice Giroir (and husband, Luke) and Allie Jeansonne (and husband, Howard). Mr. Marroy was a United States Army Veteran, a Parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church and will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Aged 71 years, a native of Belle Rose, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for over 40 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also Members and Retirees of International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local #37 are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home Chapel 4900 Airline Dr. Metairie, on Tuesday afternoon February 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
