

CULOTTA Carmen, age 87. After many years of suffering, Carmen passed away peacefully in the early morning of July 10, 2015, near her home in St. Rose, LA. in the presence of her loving husband and her three children. Carmen was born on April 24, 1928 in New Orleans. Daughter of the late Anthony Ferrara and the late Lena Gambino Ferrara. She was preceded in death by her five siblings, Rose Ferrara Alongia, George Ferrara, Mary Ferrara Frayle, Frances Ferrara Britt and Gloria Ferrara Ellis. Carmen was the beloved wife of Vincent P. Culotta for nearly 68 years. Carmen will forever be remembered by her faithful children, Paul Culotta (Betty), Karen Clingon (Billy) and Jared G. Culotta (Cindy), and her treasured grandchildren: Chad Culotta, Kimberly Lackey, Robyn Timmermeyer, Eryn Culotta, Matthew Clingon, Loryn Culotta, Luke Culotta, Lauren Wanamaker, Jared P. Culotta, Brooks Culotta and Hannah Culotta. Carmen will also be missed by her eight great-grandchildren and many other family and friends who were blessed to have known her. Carmen worked in retail for many years while her children were growing to ensure that they were well provided for. She enjoyed reading, gardening, playing cards with friends and family, word puzzles and spending time with her family. She was dedicated to her home, accepting nothing less than perfection. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, LA on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. to noon, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery adjoining the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Lung Association in support of pulmonary fibrosis.
