Carol Marguerite Sabella Rodgers

Carol Marguerite Sabella Rodgers, passed peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at the Canon Hospice in Jefferson, Louisiana. Carol was born on November 10, 1937, in New Orleans to the late Joseph and Marguerite Thibodeaux Sabella. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Fred Thomas Rodgers, Sr., and her brother, Raymond George Sabella. She is survived by her three children, Terry Rodgers Ortego (Mike) of Morrow, LA, Fred Thomas Rodgers, Jr., (Darlene) of Picayune, MS, and Karen Rodgers Calecas (Guy) of Metairie, LA; her brother, Ronald Sabella (Judy) of New Orleans; her eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, plus extended family and friends. Carol was an employee of the Dixie Brewery, First National Mortgage, Latter & Blum Mortgage and Standard Mortgage Corporation, from where she retired after many years of service. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, on Thursday afternoon, February 4, 2016 at 1:00. Visitation will begin at 10:00 in the morning. Interment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Garden of Memories.
