Carole Ann Verdun Nicolle of Slidell, LA was called home by her Savior on Saturday, February 17, 2024; she was 82 years old. Carole was born March 22, 1941 in Matthews, LA to Davey Joseph Verdun, Sr. and Marie Agnes Hebert Verdun. She was a long-time resident of Metairie and was a parishioner of St. Angela Merici Church. She tirelessly worked with the Louisiana Academy of Family Medicine, and served in all positions of its auxiliary, and was chosen as Family Medicine Wife of the Year.
She is preceded in death by her soulmate and partner for life Francis I. Nicolle, Sr., M.D. and her only precious daughter Theresa Ann Coniglio; her parents Davey Joseph Verdun, Sr. and Marie Agnes Herbert Verdun, and sister Janet V. Lowe. She is survived by her sons Guy P. Coniglio, Jr. and Francis I. Nicolle, Jr., her daughter-in-law Michelle B. Coniglio; her grandsons Dominick J. Coniglio (Ashantai), Vincent M. Coniglio (Allison); granddaughter Anna Theresa Coniglio; her great-granddaughter Juniper Jennings Coniglio; her step-children Kevin Nicolle, Lisette Nicolle (Jean), Jennifer Nicolle-Bowden (Dusty); her step-grandchildren Maurice Trosclair, Justin Trosclair (Lindsay), and Adrian Trosclair; her siblings Joan V. Micheli, Ruth V. Feehan (Terry), Davey J. Verdun, Jr. (Linda), and Albert Courcelle, Jr. (Harumi). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Monday, February 26, 2024 beginning at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
