He authored “America’s Last Real Homefront,” a book about the United States during World War II, and “What Fortune Sends We Meet: Highlights of Warren Easton High School’s First 170 Years.” He was a member since 1998 and past president of the Kenner North Kiwanis Club, and a self-described lousy golfer.
