

Cecelia was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 14, 1936, to Frank Anthony Volpi Sr. and Cecelia Callahan Volpi. She carried the values of family and resilience throughout her life and shared them generously. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and special aunt. She found joy in cooking, sewing, quilting, family traditions, and cheering for Louisiana sports teams. Her home was filled with comfort, laughter, and the aroma of her cooking, as she loved gathering her family around the table. She was a parishioner at St. Philip Neri Church and enjoyed the time she spent cooking meals for the priests. She had many close friends and especially enjoyed the time spent with her gourmet cooking circle.
Cecelia was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Cecelia Volpi, her husband, Terrance E. Power, daughters Terrell Power, Pamela P. Cure, Kim P. Armstrong, brother Frank A. Volpi Jr., sister Katherine V. Vial, brother-in-law, A. Joseph Pisciotta, sister-in-law Marilyn M. Volpi, and son-in-law, Daryl A. Danielson Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Brenda P. Danielson, beloved sister Beverly V. Pisciotta, sons in law Ricky Cure and Edward Armstrong, grandchildren Sarah Oakes (Blake), Keith Jenkins (Kristin), Ricky Cure, Rachel Cure, Joshua Battaglia, and Caroline A. Sabadash (Hope) and great-grandchildren Avery and Charlotte Oakes, Konner and Kate Jenkins, Remi Cure, Ryleigh and Rene Willard, Presley Battaglia and Asher Sabadash.
Cecelia will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and unconditional love, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend her services at St. Philip Neri Day Chapel in the Parishioners’ Center on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Visitation begins at 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:30 AM.
