He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosalie Meyer Turner and Cedric S. McNeil and his brother, George McNeil.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Karen Aleman McNeil and his five children, Steven McNeil (Lynnette), Kelly Jones (Kevin), Monique Schuller (Stephen), Eileen Passman (Chris), and Darin McNeil (Teri). He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Emily, Courtney, Shane, Chad, Sarah, Chelsea, Cody, Reagan, and Kaylee and four great-grandchildren, Elliot, Myles, Maren, and Elias.
He served four years in the United States Army, but will always be honored for donating bone marrow to his brother, which granted his brother an additional 13 years with his family.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA 70006. Visitation will be held from 11AM – 1PM with a service to begin at 1PM.
