Aunt Shirley sent a story: He used to take her kids fishing. Grampa showed him how to make crab nets.He used to really love to make the crab nets.He would visit us and always make sure we were okay. He was so good to his sisters.

Aunt Audrey sent a story: My brother was so good to all of his sisters and his mother and father. When he was in the army, he would send money home to his Mama and Daddy to help out. When we were little girls, he would always bring food and drink when he came to visit and make 'french market' donuts for us. When he came down to the country, he would cut his mother's grass and always check on his sisters to make sure they were okay. He was so good to his family.

Celestino Alfonso represented a type man that is now hard to find.  Family was his first priority, just in front of happiness.  He was raised through tough times, but he managed to find meaning and joy in his life.  Celestino didn't have much in terms of tangible items, but yet he was wealth.  Rich with what mattered to him the most: his wife, two daughters, grandchildren, and the plethora of friends he made along his journey.  I suggest everyone takes a lesson from this man.  He was a man of joy and content.  Contentment is not the fulfillment of what you want, but the realization of how much you already have.

Two life lessons my father taught me was to 'accept people for who they are' and 'to always look beyond the surface'. I will always treasure these gifts. He will be truly missed.

There are three things my father believed in and loved, Life, his family, and God. He is now resting in peace with God. I hope to continue to live in my fathers loving legacy.

I have known Mr. Frenchie since I was 15 years old. He later became my father-in-law. He was a very kind man who loved his family very much. We will all miss him. Kenny

Prayers are with you and your family at this time.

My thoughts are with the family at this time of sorrow.  I am grateful for the last months that I got to visit with Uncle Frenchie at the home, he always had a story for me and told me how he kept busy.  One thing he told me each time was that "Barbara really takes good care of me" with sincerity. I know he will be missed.

For the time that I have known Mr. Frenchie I became very fond of him.  Mr . Frenchie was a very kind hearted person and I will miss him very much!  A roommate to my Uncle,  Mr. Frenchie was like family to me .. He shared stories of his family with me and always expressed his love for them. I think about him often, heaven got a new Angel !

My Heart and Love goes out to all of you at this time of sadness as well as always in my thoughts, my heart and my prayers. I will always remember Uncle Frenchie as a loving caring Uncle who loved us all. My findness memories are going to his home to go swimming and eatting his cooking loved his home made Beignet's. He was a great man who loved his family with everything he had inside of him. R.I.P. Uncle and give Grandpa,Grandma, my mom, my dad and my brothers a big hug to them and tell him much we love and miss them. I thank you for loving my brother, me, my son and my husband.

Hello Barbara, 
I was so sorry to hear about your husband's passing.  You can take peace in the fact that Cheryl told me you all were with him at the time and it was peaceful.  I know that is little consolation, but I think it means a lot if someone leaves this Earth on peaceful terms.  I believe God is pleased and has a further plan for him.
