Cesar A Castaneda

Beloved husband of Yolanda Figueroa Castaneda of 57 wonderful years.

Cherished father of six children: Cesar A. Castaneda, Jr. (Patricia); Mario A. Castaneda (Teresa); Jorge E. Castaneda (Martha); Raul A. Castaneda; Mirna C. O’Keefe (Patrick) and the late Daniel R. Castaneda.

Devoted grandfather of Claudia, Stacy, Michael, Jorge, Jennifer, Stefanie, Ashley, Alejandra, Aisling and the late David Castaneda.

Born on December 25, 1925 in La Ceiba, Honduras, Augusto received his certificate from the University of New York Photography Institute and served with distinction as Press Secretary for Ramon Villeda Morales, President of Honduras.

He owned his photography studio in Tegucigalpa, Honduras before moving to New Orleans in 1965, where he continued to pursue a living in photography.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, he particularly loved soccer and was a devoted Saints fan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 1:00PM at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie.
