Cheryl Loicano Bourgeois

Cheryl Loicano Bourgeois of Kenner, Louisiana, passed away in her childhood home on March 18th, 2024, with her husband and family by her side. She was born July 21st, 1950 to Martin Loicano and Margaret Louise Lesh Loicano. She was married to her “Bunny” Edward (Ed) Bourgeois for 32 years. She is the mother of Michelle Mumm, and Grandmother aka “Goggy” to Michelle’s children Xanthe Mumm-Sauicer and Cecil Millar, along with Xanthe’s husband Ryan Mumm-Saucier. Cheryl graduated from John Curtis High School in 1968. She attended LSU and went on to hold many positions within her professional career, retiring from Sprint Communications as a Senior Regional Real Estate Agent. Cheryl encapsulated fun and relaxation, with a special joy for the small things in life. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, fishing, traveling, gardening, and dancing. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with Chapel Service to follow at 11:00 am. The family would like to thank the Yenni Cancer Center, Notre Dame Hospice, and Cheryl’s dear friends Norma Treigle and Sheila Labarriere.
