Cheryl Gilford Fritts went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 1, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was 46 years old, was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of LaPlace, LA for the past 21 years. Beloved mother of Marissa and Amanda Fritts. Daughter of Shirley F. Gilford and the late Frank J. Gilford. Fiancé of Marty Wilder. Sister of Elizabeth Bourgieos. Aunt of Tiffany Darr and Travis Billings. Also survived by her best friend and caregiver Maria Keating. Cheryl lived life to the fullest and enjoyed life up to the end. She was a very devoted mother, her children and her mother were the most important people in her life. God has you in His keeping, we have you in our hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday, September 10, 2011 beginning at 9:00 AM with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
