Mother of George Gillespie of Covington, LA, Philippe Gillespie of Kenner, LA and the late Johnny Gillespie. Daughter of the late Jos-Henri and Laure Ponchin of Marseille, France. Sister of Renèe Ponchin Barnes of Decatur, AL, the late Nicole Ponchin Vacher of LePuy, France and the late Georges Ponchin of Pierrevert, France. Grandmother of Brigette Gillespie Higgins of Metairie, LA, Tina Gillespie Conti of Shreveport, LA, Nicole Gillespie Jones of White House, TN, Jennifer Gillespie of Kenner, LA and Jordan Gillespie of Kenner, LA. Great-grandmother of Justin Higgins, Cedric, Amèlie, Stella and Leonardo Conti. Aunt to many nehews and nieces in France.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
