

Christopher Blanchard VIRGINIA BEACH - Christopher Dominic Blanchard, 30, lost his life Monday afternoon in a single car accident in Southeastern Louisiana. He is survived by his son, the love of his life, Jon Curtis Blanchard; his fiancée, Cristi Adams and the mother of his young son Shawnna Blanchard; his mother, Cynthia Murawski and stepfather Thomas Szalkai, his father and stepmother, Jean and Sarah Blanchard; siblings, Amber Blanchard-Mandel and Virginia and Joshua Blanchard; his grandmothers, Joyce Curtis and Annette Gamble; and nieces and nephew, Jenna Webb and Braydon Mandel. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jon Curtis, Gordon Gamble and Sidney Blanchard. Christopher had recently embarked on a new career in New Orleans area of Louisiana, which provided him with the chance to reconnect and visit with numerous family members and attend his beloved Saints football games. His love of the city and its unique lifestyle were the perfect place for him to begin his new life. While growing up in Virginia Beach, Christopher formed many lasting friendships and was able to develop his artistic talents and love of tattooing, which many of his friends are fortunate enough to display today. His wonderful smile and incredible laughter will be deeply missed by all the friends and family members he leaves behind. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, Dec. 12, at 3 p.m. in the New Life Church at Great Bridge, 1116 Hillwell Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
