Christopher "Chris" J. Coll, Sr.

Christopher "Chris" J. Coll, Sr., age 62, of Kenner, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father George M. Coll, Sr., and his Uncle Jr. He is survived by his mother Marion Newhouse Coll, children Christopher J. Coll, Jr. (Danni), Samantha Coll Walker (Lamont), John J. Coll, grandchildren, Chaz Coll, Madison Coll, Andrianna Bourgeois, Lillyanna Walker, Liam Walker, Carmen Coll, Landon Walker, and Axl Coll, his siblings George Michael Coll, Jr. (Adele), Kathline C. Perez (Antonio), and Arthur Coll, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Chris was a graduate of Bonnabel High School, and a jack of all trades, he did roofing, drove 18-wheelers, worked in chemical plants for many years as a welder and pipe-fitter, and finally at Hoist and Crane before retiring. He always said that "all families should stick together". He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

The family would like to especially thank his friend, and caretaker, Donald Christopher Coffman, and his childhood friend Robert Joseph Berglund.

A Visitation and Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm.
