

Christopher Troy Stadler, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 after a 10 year battle with brain cancer. Chris died in his mother’s arms. He was born November 17, 1969 in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of the Metro area. Loving son and stepson of Camille H. Hein and Gerald W. Hein. Son of Leroy “Lee” G. Stadler. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Lois E. “Cookie” and William G. “Poppy” Henrich, Sr. and his paternal grandparents; Lucille and Louis Stadler. Survived by his five children; Jordan C. Stadler, Zachary J. Stadler, Jacob Z. Stadler, Christopher Troy Stadler, Jr. and Marissa Marie Stadler. Also survived by one brother and three sisters; Dean Anthony Stadler (Elizabeth), Andrea Stadler Collette (David), Bethany Stadler Giangrosso (Jimmy) and Nicole Stadler; his great uncle and great aunt, Gordon D. and Angele Erickson; his Godparents, Gretchen Henrich Witkowski and W. Gregory Henrich, Jr.; two former wives, Desiree Miller and Amy Hartson, his fianceé Jennifer Sunseri; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Chris was a tow boat captain with ACBL working his way from deckhand to boat captain and he was an accomplished, self-taught guitar player. Chris’ family would like to thank Dr. Milton Seiler, Dr. Frank Culicchia, Dr. Alan Bowers and Passages Hospice, especially Chris Wright, Latoya Fields and Joanna Reboul. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Sunday evening, May 12, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1908 Short Street, Kenner, LA beginning at 10:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Passages Hospice, 617 Dublin Street, New Orleans 70118.
