

Beloved father of Kathryn Joyner, Clarence Jr., Tony and Robert Devezin, Patricia Parker, Bobby, Zetoria, Jerry, Tyrone and Nelson Ward, Maura Battiste, Tracy and Tonia Jackson, Terry Spivey and the late Beatrice and Clayton Ward.
Loving brother of Eugene Armond, Jerome, Adrian and Lugenia Devezin, Gloria Sanchez and the late Herbert, Raymond and Bernard Devezin and Bernice Echols.
Son of the late Lugenia and Benoit Devezin.
Former husband of Arneda Devezin.
Devoted companion of Vanzie Richardson and the late Beatrice Ward.
Proud grandfather of 37 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mr. Devezin was an active member and former President of the Southern New Orleans Association for the Deaf, a member of the Black Deaf Advocates Inc., a Parishioner of St. Gerard Catholic Church for the Hearing Impaired and will be loved and remembered by all who knew him.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff of Serenity Hospice for the love and care that they provided.
Aged 82 years, a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana.

are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from St. David Catholic Church 5617 St. Claude Ave, New Orleans, on Wednesday January 30, 2013.
A private interment will be held in Tylertown Cemetery in Tylertown, Mississippi.
Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
