

Cynthia Ann “Muffie, The Queen” Molaison Van Geffen went to join the Lord on Sunday, August 9, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents Paul Garland Molaison and Loretta McCauley Molaison and her sister Barbara Molaison Cambre. Cindy was the beloved wife of Dr. Lloyd George Van Geffen, Jr. and the mother of Clay Michael (Angie), Brad Cauley “Bucky” (Katy), Paul Lloyd and Ross Daniel. She was also the stepmother of Lloyd George, III “Chip” (Cheryl), David Michael (Michelle), and Mark Joseph Van Geffen (Glenda). Grandmother and step grandmother of Alex, Zack, Jacob, Caleb, Seth, Ryan, Kyle, “Princess” Evelyn Grace Van Geffen. Aunt of Paul, Mike, Mark and Joe Cambre and Denise “Sissy” Cambre Galat and Jody Cambre Morales, Charlene McCabe and Debbie Fitzsimmons and numerous friends, espically Lynn, Reneé, Norris, Pat, Diane, Cheryl, Debby and Elenore.
Cindy was the recipient of the Order of St. Louis Award, past President of the St. Louis King of France Parents Club, past Board member of the Archdiocese of New Orleans CCSCC, past Board Member of Lakeside Country Club and won the GNOTC Tarpon Club trophy for the 164lb tarpon in 1979.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks for excellent care by the doctors and staff of Ochsner Hospital during her transplant and years of follow up care.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church, 923 Josephine St. in New Orleans on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 12:00 pm. Visitation at church from 10:00 am until time of Mass. Interment in Hope Mausoleum.
