Dale V. Piazza was called home in the presence of her family on Tuesday August 9, 2011 at 3:25 p.m. Beloved wife of Nickolas Piazza Jr. after 50 years of marriage. Loving mother of Nickolas S. Piazza Sr. and MariaSanta P. Thibodeaux. Mother-in-law of Sharon P. Piazza and Earnest Thibodeaux Jr. Devoted grandmother of Amanda F. Cousin, Nickolas S. Piazza Jr., Benjamin T. Piazza, MaryGrace E. Thibodeaux and Isabella T. Thibodeaux. Proud great-grandmother of Sophia M. Cousin. Daughter of Cecile Leitz Murphy and the late Lamont T. Murphy. Sister of William J. Villavaso and Lamont “Whip” Murphy. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Piazza was a retired X-Ray Technician with over 25 years of service, a member of the Camillia Club of New Orleans, a parishioner of Divine Mercy Catholic Church and will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Aged 70 years, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, former resident of Chalmette, Louisiana and a resident of Kenner, Louisiana for the past 27 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, Louisiana on Friday evening August 12, 2011from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning August 13, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Divine Mercy Catholic Church (Nativity of our Lord Church) 3325 Loyola Dr. Kenner, at 12:00 noon.
