Darrell J. Guillory

Darrell J. Guillory, age 63, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013. Beloved husband of Jenny Wolverton Guillory. Loving father of Brian Matthew Guillory, Kevin Neal Guillory and Trey Anthony Guillory. Son of the late George and Rhea Bordelon Guillory. Brother of Patricia Guillory White. Darrell proudly served our country as a Navy Corpsman in Vietnam and was attached to a platoon of the Marines. After returning home he got his PGA card and went on tour. He won 6th place in the USF&G Tournament in New Orleans and 1st place in the Pensacola Open. After a serious automobile accident his golfing career came to a halt. Darrell went to work at Ochsner as a business administration intern. He worked his way up to business office manager at Hotel Dieu and then transferred to Miami to become the CFO and CEO in several different hospitals. He returned to play golf and+ became Senior Regional Champion of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. After moving back to Louisiana he retired in New Orleans. Darrell was drawn out of retirement to become the director of the East Bank Storm Station for the relief of Katrina victims. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at 7:00pm at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 6017 Camphor St., Metairie on Friday December 13, 2013.
