David Edwin Doss

David Doss born November 28th, 1945 went back to the Lord at age 68 on the morning of April 28th 2013, his brother Harry Walter Doss by his side. He was born in Los Angeles California and traveled with his family at a young age to New Orleans Louisiana where he was raised and spent much of his life. David was Predeceased by his loving wife Darlene Doss (Butera) and his mother Isabel Mellie Wharton Doss and father Edwin Doss Sr. and brothers Robert and Lindie Doss. Always the philosopher and student of human nature, he loved music and will be missed most for his counsel, his humor and his melodic singing voice. He is survived by his first wife Barbara Lee Doss, his two daughters, Lisa Marie Doss and Amy Nicolay, son-in-law Bill Nicolay, his brothers Stanley Paul Doss and wife, Sister-in-Law Melvina Doss, Harry Walter Doss and wife, sister-in-law Jill L. Doss, his nephews Tracy R. Doss, Christopher H. Doss, Matthew R. Doss, grandchildren, Antoinette Danielle Doss, Michael Doss, MaryEllen Nicolay,Ema-rose Hannah Doss, Christopher Nicolay and Great-grandchildren, Cassidy and Lydia Welch, and Joslin Falaro-Doss. Funeral Mass will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie on Friday May 10, at 11am with viewing hours from 9am-11am.
