Denise Ann Chatellier

Denise was born to the late Richard "Ricardo" and Virginia "Virgie" Reynolds Chatellier in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from Grace King High School in 1976. She later went on to work with a special group of friends she will always call family.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Denise knew what a strong and special woman she was. She was truly one-of-a-kind.

She is survived by her daughter, Casey Chatellier Mikkelsen, who was the light of her life and "true blessing from God". Also survived by her son-in-law, Alex Mikkelsen ("Lou" as she would call him); two sisters, Darlene Blackmore (her "best friend"), brother-in-law, John Blackmore, Donna Brady McWay (Doug); aunt, Claire Moran; three nephews, Chester Herbert, David Steudlein, Jr., and William Ray along with four great- nephews and nieces, and a host of friends and family that will miss her dearly.

She is also preceded in death by her nephew, Darrell Humpries, and Moe (her canine son).

A private service, in her wonderful honor, will be held at a later date.
