

Diane Linker Palmisano, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born on September 15, 1952, Diane’s life was a testament to selflessness, compassion, and unconditional love. Though small in stature, Diane's heart was immeasurable in its kindness and generosity.
Diane fought a courageous battle with ALS, and is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Louis A. Palmisano Sr.; their three children, Leslie (Robert Stevens Jr.), Lori (Shelton Winstead), and Louis Jr. (Alicia Zabala Palmisano); and her six adoring grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Reese, Allie, Louie III, Landry, and Levi. Diane is also survived by her beloved brother Johnny (Frances) and her sisters Lorraine (Tim) and Lynette.
For decades, Diane dedicated her life to caring for others, particularly babies and children, with boundless love and dedication. Diane was a mother figure to everyone she met, and her selfless spirit and compassionate nature made a profound impact on all who knew her. She and Louie were active members of Northpoint Church of Christ. She had a deep love for cooking and delighted in spoiling her grandchildren. Diane was also known for her vibrant personality, always having something to say or a story to tell, enriching the lives of those around her and brightening the world with her humor and wisdom.
A memorial service to celebrate Diane’s life will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Team Gleason in Diane’s memory, supporting ALS research and care as thank you for the tremendous amount of support and love they offer.
Diane will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her kindness, strength, and the loving legacy she leaves behind.
