Diane Vintrella Peterman

Beloved wife of 47 years to the late Hunter I. Peterman Jr. Mother of Leigh Thomas (husband, Marshall Thomas) and the late Hunter I. Peterman III and John Charles Peterman. Grandmother of Ashleigh L. Thomas. Daughter of the late Johnny C. Vintrella and Alice Domingue Vintrella. Sister of Joann Tompkins and the late Carlos Vintrella (surviving wife, Patricia Vintrella), Jean Johnson, Delores Meinke, Rose Fenasci, Ethel Brooks and Jenny LeBlanc. Also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Peterman was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church and was a former parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church. She was the part owner of Ruli’s Grocery Store in New Orleans and Southern Po Boys off Jefferson Highway. She retired from Whitney Bank. Mrs. Peterman enjoyed watching westerns and traveling. She always believed the best in everyone. Mrs. Peterman will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd in Metairie, LA on Friday, November 21, 2025 beginning at 11:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:30 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will be in Garden of Memories.
