Diane Camaille Sellen

Diane was an amazing cook, enjoyed traveling, and never met a stranger. She began her career as a teacher at Parkway Presbyterian Preschool and later joined Tulane Medical Center, where she worked as an Executive Assistant until her retirement. In 1997, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University, an accomplishment of which her family was especially proud.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Henry Sellen; her daughters, Sherry Buhler Janssen and Laura Buhler Saenz (Steve); her son, Harold Francis Buhler III (Lorie); her granddaughter, Isabella Camille Saenz; her stepdaughters, Lara Sellen (Keith) and Angela Sellen; her stepsons, Patrick Sellen (Sherri) and Danny Sellen; and four step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Leah Camaille; her first husband, Harold Buhler Jr.; her son, Jeff Buhler; her sister and brother-in-law, Doris and George Bywater; and many dear friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Diane’s wonderful caregiving team for their support, compassion, and kindness. We are forever grateful.
