He married Carolyn Ann Simoneaux on June 3, 1961. He worked as a rate clerk at multiple trucking companies for over 50 years. He retired from Central Freight Lines in 2006 and devoted the remainder of his life to caring for his wife. He was still an active member of the unique high school fraternity started at Redemptorist High School (TAK), which held many dances and other events for over sixty years and continues to hold quarterly luncheons.
