Donald Joseph "D.J." Constantine

Donald Joseph “D.J.” Constantine passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013. He was born on April 17, 1934 to Ernest Constantine and Leonie Julie Piatolly Constantine. Beloved husband of Phyllis Michelet Constantine for 53 years. Beloved father of Donald A. Constantine (Nancy), Sharon Constantine Terrebonne (Steve), Michael J. Constantine, Kevin Michael Constantine and the late Karen Marie Constantine. Grandfather of Thomas J. Terrebonne, Amber Lynn Constantine, Conor L. Bertucci, Alexander T. Constantine and Sienna Marie Constantine. Brother of Leonie “Nora” Constantine and the late Vincent Constantine, Marie C. David and Aline C. Arnold. Uncle of Cheryl Arnold, Richard Arnold, Steven C. Constantine, George P. Constantine, Sr., Phyllis C. Stire, Norman G. David and the late Cindy David. Also survived by a host of great grand nieces and nephews. Mr. Constantine was a former employee of Norfolk Southern Railway for 32 years and Amtrack. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:30 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
