Doris Rose Esler Porter

Doris Rose Esler Porter passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 peacefully at her home in Lathrop, MO surrounded by all her loved ones. She was 52 years old and leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Nick E. Porter. She was born in New Orleans, LA and resided in New Orleans and St. Bernard Parish until 2005. She relocated to Missouri and resided in Holt and Lathrop, MO for the past 8 years. She was a full time mother and homemaker. Doris was preceded in death by two children, Christopher Cody and Jacqueline Lorraine Porter; her mother, Kay Noel Saxon Esler; her paternal grandparents, Florence P. Lyons Esler and George J. Esler; her maternal grandparents, Clare Enright and Alex Saxon. She is survived by her father, Barry P. Esler, Sr.; her children, Eric Michael, Brandon Lee (Kimberly Campsen), Nicholas Alex, Jennifer Marie, Gina Nicole, Emily Ann Megan Porter and Jessica Noel Porter Mathews (Joshua Mathews); her stepchildren, Karl, Nick, Rick Porter and Angie Hladky; her grandchildren, Hayden Michael, Conner Lee, Caleb Michael, Logan Conner, Riley Jackson and Averie Noel Rose Porter and Cody Scott Wetzel; also two granddaughters on the way, Jacqueline Rose Lee and Alexis Marie Porter; her siblings, Barry P., Jr. and George J. Esler, Fay Noel Martin and Kay Noel Manint. Doris is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 beginning at 11:00 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
