Dorothy Alario Couevas

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elton Shaw Couevas, Jr., and nine siblings, Antoine Alario, John Alario, Thomas Alario, Lionel Alario, Sal Alario, Edward Alario, Jeanne Persohn, Ethel Alario and Celina Robinson.

She is survived by two daughters, Shelley Couevas Gates & husband, Ned, of Gulfport, MS and Lisa Couevas Vosbein & husband, Robert, Jr., of Metairie, LA. Dorothy is the grandmother of five grandchildren, Lindsey Kaye Ory, Thomas Joseph Ory, III, Capri Olivia Pizani, Robert Allan Vosbein, III (Trey), and Ellison Shaw Vosbein.

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the nurses, staff, and caregivers of Woodland Village Nursing Center in Diamondhead, MS for their constant love and care of our mother during her final years.

Dorothy was a devoted Catholic, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all. Until we meet again, Momma, rest in peace.
