Dorothy Dottie Marguerite Jeanfreau

Dorothy Marguerite Cougot Jeanfreau entered into heaven on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Devoted wife of the late Gordon Jeanfreau. She is survived by her nieces Rosemarie Fricke Gioia, Linda Fricke Roy (Jerry), great niece, Jennifer Gioia, great nephews; Jason Gioia (Anantha), Michael Roy, Joseph Roy and great great nephew, Samarth Gioia. Daughter of the late Jennie McGowan Cougot and Paul J. Cougot, Sr. Sister of the late Eunice Cougot Fricke and Paul J. Cougot, Jr.

Age 85, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie for many years.

“Dottie” retired from the Bank of New Orleans where she was Vice President of Securities for over 30 years, a substitute school teacher for Jefferson Parish, avid bowler, East Jefferson General Hospital North volunteer, she loved gardening and her companion dog “Kelli”. She will be missed by her loving friends and neighbors, especially her devoted friend Phyllis Griffin. The family would like to extend their appreciation for the care and compassion they gave to Dottie to Hospice Associates and Colonial Oaks Living Center.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Angela Merici, 901 Beverly Garden Dr., Metairie, LA on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 12:00 pm. Visitation from 10:30 am until funeral time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA.
