Dorothy Rudesill Welch

Dorothy Rudesill Welch was born on July 3, 1924 and passed away on May 12, 2012. She was 87 years old. Mrs. Welch was the devoted wife of the late Terry Welch, Sr. Mother of Terry Jr. (AnnaMae), Frederick (Floann), Richard Sr. (Cathy), Michael Sr. (Joann), Dennis Sr., Joann Welch, Judy Welch Plaisted, Zoe Anne Welch, Cheryl Welch Nicely (Randy), Ronald Sr., Randy, Sr. (Lisa) and the late Dianne Welch Duke. Grandmother of the late Ray Welch Richard. Great grandmother of the late Taylor Paige, Devonté Michael and Emma Grace. Daughter of the late Fredrick and Florence Rudesill. Sister of the late Fredrick, Walter, Milton, Oliver, Helen, Viven, Julia and survived by Barton and Norma. Also survived by 36 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Welch was a member of Metairie Ridge Presbyterian Church since 1941. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Thursday evening, May 17, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Friday, May 18, 2012 beginning at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
