Edith Brooks Brand

Edith Brooks Brand passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012. She was 92. Mrs. Brand was a resident of Jefferson, LA and a former key punch operator for Commodity Credit. Daughter of the late Clay Brooks and Edith Foster Brooks. Beloved wife of the late Alvin V. Brand, Sr. Mother of Edith Brand (Pierre Lanthier) and Alvin V. Brand, Jr. Grandmother of Julie Lynn Schnauder (Gregory), Aubrey Clay Brand (Michelle), Jamie Joy Gatto and Joy Houck, III. Great grandmother of Madalyn Brand, Colin Schnauder, Zachary Schnauder and Karlie Schnauder.

Mrs. Brand’s family would like to express their appreciation to River Region Hospice for their compassionate care.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 11:00 am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
