Edmond Roman Mire

Edmond Roman Mire passed away on Thursday December 15, 2011. Beloved son of the late Gladys Schlesinger and Roman Mire. Loving brother of Marvin Lee Owens (and wife, Dolores). Devoted uncle of Kelly Dennis, Scott Owens, Marc Braquet, Aaron Burgau (and wife, Kim) and Briana Burgau. Proud great-uncle of Jonathon and Ryan Dennis and Noah and Oliver Burgau. Mr. Mire was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and WWW wrestling fan, a member of Volunteers of America, a Parishioner of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church and will be loved and missed by all who knew him. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Volunteers of America and to Paul Plaisance and Ed Labruye for the love and care that they provided. Aged 64 years, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 20 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, on Thursday morning December 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Bernard Memorial Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
