Edmond Michell Nunez Jr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edmond M. Nunez Sr. and Louise V. Nunez and his son, Edmond M. Nunez III.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brendagale V. Nunez, children, Bruce L. Nunez, Troy A. Nunez, and Jean’-Paul E. Nunez, grandchildren, Troy A. Nunez Jr., Danielle F. Nunez, Erin L. Nunez, and Edmond M. Nunez IIII, and his siblings, Donald Nunez, Darlene Nunez, Bruce Nunez, and Danny Nunez.

Edmond attended East Jefferson High School in Metairie LA. He worked as a ship building foreman at Avondale shipyards, a self employed carpenter, commercial crabber/fisherman, and handy man. He was a loving father to his four children and a loving husband of 60 years to his beautiful wife, Brindagale V. Nunez. He enjoyed fishing and hunting every chance he got. He enjoyed pleasing people and always had a smile on his face. He always put others needs before his own and he lived life to its fullest.

The family would like to thank the hospice nurses for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 9AM – 11AM with a memorial service to begin at 11AM. Inurnment will be held in Mississippi at a later date.

Edmond would want all to celebrate his life and remember all the good times he shared with all who knew him
