Edward H. Faget

Edward Harold Faget, D.D.S, on Sunday December 19, 2010 at 10:00PM , age 90 years, a native and life long resident of New Orleans , La. He graduated from Warren Easton High School and was a magna cum laude graduate of Loyola University Dental School . He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and then served in the U.S. Navy Reserve retiring as a Captain. He was a practicing dentist who served his patients for 53 years and retired in 1995. He was active in professional associations serving as President of both the New Orleans and Louisiana Dental Associations. He was a former trustee and Vice-President of the American Dental Association and an esteemed member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy which honors outstanding dentists. He was an active golfer since teenage years. He is the husband of the late Mignon Cieutat Faget, father of Gayle Anne Faget of Metairie , La. and Deborah Faget Baudouin of Luling , La. He is the brother of Mignon Jacqueline Faget and the late Shelby James F. Pitard, D.D.S and William Faget, D.D.S. His late parents were Mignon Cressy Faget and Edouard B. Faget, M.D. He is the grandfather of Harold J. Stephens, III (Shannon Ney) of Metairie, La. and Jeanne Faget Stephens of Brooklyn, New York and is survived by 2 great grandchildren, Harold J. Stephens(Dru) IV, and Davis Andrew Stephens. A memorial mass will take place at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 3368 Esplanade Ave. on Monday December 27, 2010 at 12 noon. Friends may visit the family at the church on Monday from 11:00A.M until time of service. Private interment in the Faget Tomb at St. Louis Cemetery #3. Kindly omit flowers.
