Edward Victor Peters

Edward Victor Peters passed away on Friday August 3, 2012 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 58 years of Elizabeth Riehl Peters, son of the late Rudolph Peters and the late Rosa Oulliber Peters. A native of Madisonville, LA and a resident of New Orleans/Metairie for the last 66 years. Father of Randall E. Peters (Lynn), Bryan J. Peters, Wayne G. Peters, Lisa P. Wetzel (Jerry), and Julie P. Hayden (Bob). Also survived by seven loving grandchildren: Keith and Kevin Peters, Melissa, Danielle, and Michelle Wetzel, and James and Jessica Hayden and loving nieces and nephews. Brother of George C. Peters, Marie Imelda Amadon and the late Lawrence S. Peters.

World War II veteran served in the Army Air Corp. Member of VFW Post 6640. Member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 714 for 66 years. Graduated from Loyola University. Past President of the Purchasing Management Association of New Orleans (now ISM). Retired from New Orleans Public Service (now Entergy) Purchasing Department.

Parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Parish of 50 years.

Family and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, LA on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at 11:00 am. Visitation 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
