Ernest Charles Merrell

He was the last surviving child of Ernest Merrell and Altha Couch. Father to Forrest; “Charlie Daddy” to Angele, Paul, and Christopher. Beloved grandfather to Lyn, Elizabeth, Ava, Kayden, Jace, Connor, and Nolan. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Charles or Charlie as he was affectionately known, was a jeweler and antiques dealer for many years. Later in life he became an artist and children’s book author. Known for his love of good food, good company, easy laughter, and smiling children, he will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd. New Orleans, LA.
