Estelle Erny Ducote

Estelle Erny Ducote, age 96, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Victoria Ina Hancock and John Hancock, Jr. and the beloved wife of 69 years to Paul Ducote Sr. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Erny, Gloria Erny Jeanfreau, and Beth Erny Simmons and two brothers, John J. Erny and Irvin C. Erny.

She is survived by her cherished children, Paul Ducote Jr., Brian Ducote (wife, Violet) and Mary Ann Veade (husband, Webster); her five treasured grandchildren: Thomas Veade, Christine Kasper (husband, Jacob), Stephanie Jimenez (husband, Eddie), Michelle Ducote and Elizabeth Veade and her beloved 13 great- grandchildren: Lennox Veade, Lela Veade, Luna Veade, Leif Veade, Vivienne Veade, Dominic Kasper, Joshua Kasper, Xavier Kasper, Elizabeth Rose Kasper, Adeline Jimenez, Olivia Jimenez, Miguel Jimenez and Theodore Jimenez. She is also survived by a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Estelle was a devout Catholic who was an inspiration to many. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the services at St. Francis Xavier Church, 444 Metairie Road in Metairie, LA on Friday, August 29, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11:30 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 12:30 pm. She will be laid to rest with her husband in All Saints Mausoleum.
