Evelyn Mae Scallan

Mother of eight children.Grandmother of 21 grandchildren. Great-grandmother of 22 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents and 10 brothers and sisters.

Survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and her pet companion, “T-Bone”.

Mrs. Scallan was a devoted and loving mother, a Parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church and will always be loved and remembered by all who knew her.

The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff of St. Joseph Nursing Home, especially Jennie, for the love and care that they provided. Aged 85 years, a native of Marksville, Louisiana, former resident of Metairie, Louisiana and most recent resident of Harahan, Louisiana.Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, on Wednesday December 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
