Frances Booksh Cranford

Frances Booksh Cranford, born September 18th, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 21st, 2024, at the age of 81. She graduated from Warren Easton High School. Frances loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her time as a Red Hat member and enjoyed playing cards with friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Louis Booksh Sr., Frances Lazaro Booksh, her brother, Charles Louis Booksh, Jr., and her loving husband of 38 years, Jerry Cranford. She is survived by her daughters Sandy Baquie Schaeffer (Michael) and Brenda Baquie Hegwood (Lance), her grandchildren Michael Schaeffer Jr., Chad Schaeffer (Amanda), Rikki Hegwood Hester (Brad), and Jenna Hegwood Khachen (Bank); brothers Larry Booksh (Cheryl) and Ronald Booksh (Bonnie) and sister in law, Simone Booksh. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Gavin Schaeffer, Leah Schaeffer, Marcelene Schaeffer, Emily Schaeffer, Valerie Schaeffer, and Baby Khachen, who is on the way. She was a long-time resident of Metairie, Louisiana. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Visitation for Frances will be held Monday, August 5, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana 70006, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in the Leitz-Eagan Chapel. Inurnment will immediately follow at St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery, 3421 Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70119. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
