

Frances Boyce Miller Rodgers, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, entrepreneur, artist, and friend, passed away peacefully in New Orleans, Louisiana, on November 18, 2025. She was 95.
She was born on July 1, 1930, in Amarillo, Texas, to Robert William Miller and Rebecca Boyce Ware. Educated exclusively in Texas, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Costume Design, Clothing and Textiles from the University of Texas at Austin.
On August 16, 1952, Frances wed John Alden Rodgers, also of Amarillo, and together they relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana, where they raised their family and resided for the remainder of their lives.
In the early 1970s, drawing on her design background, Frances founded a retail design establishment, Caché Pôt, on Magazine Street in the Garden District of New Orleans. She built a successful business and had a style that was uniquely her own. Recognized by the New Orleans community for her exquisite designs, her creative work was featured on several occasions in The Times-Picayune and New Orleans Magazine.
Fanny, as she was affectionately known to her family, was a true force and a class act. To know her was to understand she was keenly observant and insightful, fiercely devoted, and generous beyond measure. She had an artistic, creative mind, a heart the size of Texas, and a flair that suited her adopted city of New Orleans. She was a trailblazer and graciously shared her talents with her family, clients, and many friends. She touched so many lives and will be deeply missed.
Frances is survived by her children: Robert Rodgers (Patty), Rebecca Grant, Victoria Spruce (Joseph), and Marjorie Sullivan (Richard), sister Ida Dwight, grandchildren: Jason, Melissa, Victoria, Ashley, and Shannon, and great-grandchildren: Quinn, Myles, Aspyn, and James. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John, and grandson, Michael Alden.
