

Frank Emile Boeckl, 57, a long-time resident of the New Orleans area, passed away on September 5, 2022 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 18, 1964 in New Orleans, LA. He is survived by his loving wife Laura Railey Boeckl, daughters Melanie Gurdian (Rene) and Sophia Boeckl, his brother Patrick Prendergast (Karen), and sisters Debra Swan, Denise Hubbard (Charles), and Melissa Schehr (Kevin). He was predeceased by his parents Hubert and Dolores Boeckl, and siblings Trudy Warren, Douglas Prendergast, and Paul Boeckl (surviving wife, Sandy).
Frank’s energy was intoxicating. He filled every room with enthusiasm and love. He particularly enjoyed spending time at his camp in Empire, LA, taking out friends and family to catch trout and redfish. Frank was a man of many talents and well-respected within the car dealership industry. He was an active member of St. Catherine of Sienna Parish in Metairie, Louisiana. He enjoyed sobriety for 17 years and channeled much of his boundless energy into his recovery community and into helping others achieve the freedom he cherished. His grace, humility, and zeal for life will live on in the countless people whose lives he touched. Frank’s favorite job was being a father. His everlasting love for his daughters was confirmed daily through countless acts of support and many phone calls.
Visitation services will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie on Monday, September 12, 2022 beginning at 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
