George Samuel Francis

George Samuel Francis went to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Samuel Francis and his parents, Rose Petrossi and Milton J. Francis, Sr. He will be missed by his beloved wife of 57 years, Ollie Farriel Francis, his brother, Milton J. Francis, Jr. (Glo), his sisters-in law, Bernice Morrissey and Lindy McKinney (Roger) and nieces and nephews.

George was born in New Orleans, LA and resided in Ponchatoula, LA. He retired as a district chief with the New Orleans Fire Station Engine 36/Ladder 13 after 26 years of service.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will take place in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive in Slidell, Louisiana.
