Gladys “Bette” Howard Ellender, age 84, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 62 years, Bennie Ellender. She had an unwavering dedication to her family. She was the beloved aunt of Stephen, Warren and Stephanie and was greatly loved by many more nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until service time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the ASU Red Wolves Club, Arkansas State University, P.O. Box 2219, State University, AR 72467 are preferred.
