Gloria Dedeaux Bordelon

Gloria Dedeaux Bordelon passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026. She was born on February 8, 1939, to Eugene and Hazel Dedeaux in Simmesport, LA. Her family later moved to New Orleans where she attended Warren Easton High School. It was in New Orleans where she met her husband, Stephen P. Bordelon, Sr.

Married to Stephen P. Bordelon, Sr. for 67 years, they resided in Metairie, LA. Gloria and Stephen shared two children, Stephen P. Bordelon, Jr. and Pamela Bordelon Hunley. Gloria loved gardening and flowers, good food, attending plays with her friends, and she had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Hazel Dedeaux; her siblings, Lou Whitemore and Dolores Dauzart; and her son, Stephen P. Bordelon, Jr.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Stephen P. Bordelon, Sr.; her daughter, Pamela Bordelon Hunley (James); granddaughter, Nicole Bordelon Johnson (Paul); and great grandchildren, Sullivan Ray, Dominic Ross, and Sebastian Paul. She is also survived by her nieces, Angelle Fastoff, Annette Terrell (Brett), and Alison Smith (Stephan) of Metairie, LA, Lisa Lemoine (Clint) of Simmesport, LA, and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at St Angela Merici Church, 901 Beverly Garden Dr., Metairie, LA on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow mass in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, New Orleans, LA.
