Gloria Trahan Boyd

Gloria Trahan Boyd, age 93, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Gertrude Trahan; her sons, Claude Joseph Boyd and Earl Michael Boyd; her sister, Joyce T. Messina; her brother-in-law, H.C. Messina, Jr. and her beloved dog Chico. She is survived by her grandchildren, Jason Boyd, Karen Boyd and C.J. Boyd Jr. (Nicole); her great grandchildren, Tripp Boyd and Talia Boyd; her nieces, Lynne Messina and Laurie Messina; her nephew, Ken Messina; her great nieces, Stephanie Black, Emily Casadaban and Elise Casadaban and her daughter-in-law Rita Boyd. Ms. Boyd was a graduate of Sophie B. Wright High School Class of 1944 and was a retired library clerk for New Orleans Public Schools. A private prayer service was held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
