

Gloria was born in San Salvador, El Salvador on June 4, 1930, and lived there for 43 years before moving to the United States with her husband and children in 1973. She briefly lived in New Orleans before relocating to San Francisco, where she and her husband remained for 40 years. In 2014, they returned to New Orleans to spend their final years closer to family.
Gloria will be remembered by her family and friends for her quiet elegance and deep appreciation for beauty and the arts, including music, films, and gardens. She was also a lifelong cat lover with a gentle spirit, rarely seen without a feline companion. Gloria's laughter and love were gifts to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her mother, Amanda Mena, Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mario Osorio Sr., with whom she shared 62 years of marriage; her sister, Irma Mena; and her brothers, Ricardo and Julio Mena.
Gloria leaves behind her children, Carolina Rangel (Gustavo), Mario Osorio Jr. (Sheila), Amanda Sacco (Gregory), and Ronald Osorio (Gina); her grandchildren, Jonathan Rangel, Jacqueline Rangel, Joshua Rangel (Vivian), Mario Osorio III (Katie), Lauren Osorio, Carolina Osorio, Amanda Neely (Randy), Monique Briseno, Victoria Sacco (David), Francesca Sacco, Katrina Osorio, and Daniela Osorio; her great-grandchildren, David Lopez, Noah Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Emma Osorio, Peyton Pelletier, Claire Neely, Emily Briseno, and Linea Osorio; her brother, Rolando Mena (Fanny); her beloved nieces and nephews; and her cherished cat, Michi, who adored her.
In accordance with Gloria's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Anvoi Hospice Care for the compassionate care and exceptional support they provided. They extend special thanks to Kaci Sexton, RN, whose gentle presence and kindness were a source of comfort to Gloria during her final days.
