Gloria Lombard Schlumbrecht

Gloria L. Schlumbrecht passed away at Mandeville, LA on Sunday, March 17, 2013. Wife of the late Joseph E. Schlumbrecht, Jr. Mother of Susan Angelica (Carl), Joseph E. Schlumbrecht III (late Joan), Darlene S. Newport (Charles), Edmund Schlumbrecht (Cathy) and the late Michael Schlumbrecht.

Sister of Marion Tobelman, Mildred Deibel, and the late Anthony, Frank, Milton, Myron and Harold Lombard and Lorine Fazzio. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, Sandy, Jennifer, Charles, Amanda, Edmund, Dawn, Joseph and Jason and by seven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Schlumbrecht was a native and lifelong resident of the New Orleans area, a retired employee of the Jefferson Parish School Board and was a member of the Harahan Senior Center. Special thanks to Dr. Alan Yager and staff, Pulse Home Health and Journey Hospice for their great care and kindness.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass from the Metairie home of THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd at43rd St. on Tuesday March 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in Garden of Memories.
